April and May are the season for festivals. But there are too many festivals in every
community. You can be disappointed with festivals. So I try to be careful to choose festivals.
I believe that Hampyung butterfly festival is the best in Jeonnam. Especially your children
you can enjoy many things in the festival.

Hi! I recommand you to visit Buyeo in late july for lotus festivalheld at the pond of Gungnamji. I know you have a famous lotus festival at Baekryeonsa temple in your province. But at the festival in Buyeo, you can enjoy the various lotus more closely because they make many routes for tourists to see near the flowers in the big pond. I am looking forward to the festival this year.
Even though the good season to appreciate azaleas has passed, I recommend you to visit the 4.19 National Park around April 19th to memorize the revoluation on April 19th, 1960 and hike taking the Jindallae trail filled with a number of tall bunches of beautiful azaleas in Bukhan Mountain.

In the next week or so, Ochang will have a Canola flower festival which is interesting. It's not very far from here so you could visit with classmates if you have free time.
Welcome to Jeonju International film festival from 1st to 9th in May. This year it is the 9th festival. During this festival new styles of film are introdued in all the good theaters and cinemas downtown. A lot of movie-fans will gather from all over the world. We can enjoy many unique, hidden, and unusual films from Soviet,Cuba and no Western countries. Some of them tend to be experimetal and aesthetic. To get more information and resevations you'd better use the Internet.
In Jeonju we have more good festivals: International Sori(sound) Festival in fall, Ferment Expo, Korean Paper Festival, medical herb festival and Dano festival for our citizens. Among these festivals I like Ferment Expo because I enjoy many kinds of wine from all over the world without paying.^^
